Even though the franchise is dead, SH community is more alive that it has ever been. Because by that mentality Resident Evil is dead and abandoned too since no Resident Evil themed mod exists for Cry of Fear either. If one unrelated game doesn't have a SH themed mod it doesn't mean the SH community is dead. So I can only assume noone is interested in a dead franchise, or maybe people are afraid of trouble with Konami. You could even start a debate if SH4, Homecoming and Downpour used to be cool SH games or not. SH, however, the town of endless fog and of psychological horror has stopped being a good game many years ago. was more like a teaser for the planned restart of Silent Hill and has had it's own charme, style and mechanics. Not sure, there are several horror themed games out there, many with references to P.T., but P.T.
